A tiny cottage with good bones, and a grand personality. was a complete renovation by a gifted and lovely business woman. The client was committed to the simple, elegance of Eileen Gray and the classic Art Deco inspiration of the 20’s and 30’s. The color pallet is clean, fresh and accented with deep color. Chrome, leather and natural fabrics were chosen to set the standard of lasting style and complimentary luxury textures.
Mostly authentic pieces from the Art Deco era created a serene space for relaxing and enjoying the view of Little Traverse Bay. The cottage was scrubbed down, minimalized and repurposed. Even the European wire window hardware in the Master bedroom reinforced the feeling of an intimate hidden hideaway.
